Virtual Audition Information for The Sound of Music
Sign Up to Audition
Please fill out and submit our online audition form on TheaterForms. Information regarding how to submit your audition video will be provided after you have submitted your audition on TheaterForms. Have your calendar handy and be prepared to enter rehearsal conflicts. You will be asked to upload a headshot (a JPEG file) and a theatrical résumé (a PDF file) if you have one. If you don’t have either of these files you can still submit the form. All those auditoning must agree with our Audition Agreement to audition for The Sound of Music. View Audition Agreement Here. Virtual Audition Instructions
Once a theaterforms.com sign-up has been made through the September Song website, a link will be sent along with a specific password for access. Please select “Please add me to the waiting list. I cannot make an appointment at this time” when filling out the form on theaterforms.com. Those who have already signed up for a specific date and timeslot will be emailed the link and code in a separate email. A Gmail or Outlook email address is required - if, for any reason, that is not possible, we will provide a Dropbox link were videos can be uploaded. Your audition video will be recorded directly into the September Song Flipgrid portal, bypassing the need to record separately on a device and then uploading. These recordings will not be visible by anyone except the September Song Team. There will be a 2 minute recording limit but you will have the chance to record multiple takes during a single log-in. We ask that there is only one final video submitted per person. Households may use the same email address to log-in multiple times to record separate auditions. Once a final video is submitted, you will no longer have access to it but an email will be sent confirming the upload was successful. Audition criteria remain the same - an instruction video with additional recording instructions, requirements, tips and tricks can be found on the September Song Flipgrid homepage.
